What will you be doing?
We have a strong reputation in our field amongst family and professionals and need help with marketing and social media. People with severe or profound intellectual disabilities are at particularly high risk of mental health problems and suffering from trauma. We share free resources via our website to try to help and rely on selling our courses to bring in income to keep us running and to develop our services further. We are looking for someone to help us let more people know about our resources and courses. We are looking for help in growing our reach into our target audience - people who are working with and supporting children and adults with severe or profound intellectual/learning disabilities. We would like to work with someone who can explore whether email newsletters, LinkedIn, Facebook or Twitter can get to budget holders and decision makers in the right education, health and social care roles. We have lots of long form video and information content that needs editing to be effective on social media. We'd like to work with a volunteer who is reliable and self-driven on a long term basis.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who has experience in: Managing social media and Linked In platforms Increasing reach and engagement Email design and management
What difference will you make?
Finding people who can benefit from using our information, resources and courses and hearing the feedback that they give about the difference they make to people's lives. Increasing course sales to generate income to enable us to increase our services to families. We receive a lot of feedback about the power of our work for improving lives. A marketing manager volunteer would be very much part of creating this impact.
