  • Role Summary:
    • Lead operational excellence and customer service at your site.
    • Ensure seamless member move-ins/outs.
    • Conduct troubleshooting, site checks, and member engagement.
    • Maintain high operational scores and site presentation.

  • Role Requirements:
    • Minimum 1 year as a Team lead/Manager in Co-working or hospitality/events.
    • Proven track record of managing teams and delivering results.
    • Business-savvy with excellent people skills and customer focus.
    • Ability to troubleshoot operational issues with a positive attitude.
    • Attention to detail and initiative to complete tasks.
    • Charismatic communicator with a customer-centric approach.

Since launching, we now have 9 buildings in London, Bristol and Brighton with soon to be our 10th in Birmingham and more in the pipeline. At Runway East, we offer unique flexible office space for teams of 1 - 100 to work in, enjoying everything from dogs on demand to our famed Friday drinks trolley or cake Wednesdays.

Elevator Pitch: The Job. What to expect.

Even though our sites are open to members 24/7, our Site operations team (You!) are only expected to be onsite Monday-Friday from 08:30-17:30, including an hour lunch break.

As a Community Manager (that's what we call our Assistant General Manager's) of one of our sites and the team, you will play the lead role in delivering a daily high-standard operational experience at your site. You will elevate our member experience through delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring engaging and regular communication at all times. This will include ensuring members moving in/out experience being slick and effective for both members and RWE.

Whilst no two days are the same, your key responsibilities will revolve around:

  • Operational excellence, troubleshooting any building; system or member issues and resolving them quickly with our troubleshooting process. 
  • Maintaining excellent member experience, through performing regular site checks, member check ins and actioning feedback or issues as they arise.
  • Keep the site, kitchen areas, communal areas and toilets clear, clean and lovely for our members
  • Ensuring that operational scores are high on our "Member Happiness Guarantee"
  • Have a thorough knowledge of Runway East processes and procedures, and implement them effectively and consistently. 
  • Ensure and facilitate Front desk management during the building’s set business hours (08:30-17:30) and being an on-site point of contact for members when needed.
  • Ensure hospitality points and meeting rooms are in top nick at all times - tea points; kitchen areas and meeting spaces.
  • Ensuring site is "Tour Ready" at all times to meet, greet and show round potential members all we can offer.
  • Develop community initiatives to create connections between members. Use their feedback to implement ways to improve our space and community.
  • Managing a Community Associate and effectively delegating tasks to ensure the smooth running of the site at all times. 
  • Maintaining Occupancy through your sales pipeline, touring prospective members, holding retention conversations with existing members and cultivating relationships both within Runway East and the surrounding ecosystem.

Requirements

Who You Are: 

  • Will have worked as a Team lead/Manager within a Co-working or hospitality/events background for a minimum of 1 year
  • Managed a team in some capacity and driven results through measured results.
  • Business savvy and driven to succeed, love working with people and building rapport with customers
  • Drive - you solve the operational issues of your site efficiently (wifi not working) and aren’t afraid to get your hands dirty in the process. You’re not afraid to challenge systems/processes to make them more effective as we grow.
  • Detail - you appreciate that the small things are often the things that matter the most. You take initiative and ownership to see things through to completion. If it needs doing, you do it.  
  • Resilience - you love to troubleshoot and solve problems with a positive, can do attitude. You’re eager to take on new challenges. 
  • Charisma - you are engaging and love to connect with others, your self-awareness helps you intuitively and proactively solve customer challenges. You’re a problem solver who goes out of their way to help people - always
  • Commerciality - not only are you comfortable with selling and negotiating, you understand that our members = our business, and you are focused on supporting their needs. You’re excited to build a customer-centric career.
