- Develop and execute marketing and communication strategies in government sectors.

About the role
We’re looking for a talented and hands-on Marketing Manager to help us build a high-profile and beloved brand in central and local government.
A natural storyteller, you'll brim with ideas for how we can use marcomms channels from speaking slots and webinars to PR and content to engage Beam's government stakeholders and position Beam as the AI leader in welfare space.
You'll be a first-class writer and storyteller who’s already engaged in the public sector and social issues in the UK and excited to learn more. You’ll love rolling up your sleeves to bring ideas to life and are excited to get stuck into a hugely varied role.
Example tasks would include:
Identifying, prioritising and securing speaking slots for one of Beam’s leadership and supporting on messaging and slides
Crafting emails and newsletters that update customers on progress across Beam and demonstrate the impact of our work together
Using your own video and photography skills to tell amazing stories for our government customers about the people using Beam’s services and tech
Organising roundtables at Beam HQ that bring together senior government stakeholders, thought leaders and entrepreneurs
Writing copy for the website and brand assets and iterating them to be as engaging as possible
Crafting compelling award entries that celebrate Beam as a leader in the field of tech-enabled welfare services
You are
Humble, empathetic and hungry to learn about government and welfare services - previous experience with government is just a nice-to-have
Excited about the possibilities of technology and AI to bring change and keen to bring your true, open self to work
Creative and brimming with ideas, with high attention to detail - you set meticulous standards for yourself and your work
Someone who thrives under pressure and is unfazed by fast-paced environments and high expectations
Able to make the role your own and work autonomously by defining your own workload every sprint planning session
You’ll need
Excellent written English, you know exactly how to pull in a reader with concise, engaging prose and powerful storytelling
- Experience in at least one of:
creative work, which could include photography, videography, graphic design or copywriting
PR, including the full lifecycle from story ideation to selling in and securing stories
Event planning or securing speaking engagements
technical content creation or webinars which could include the production of whitepapers or research
Hunger to learn and make an impact while working with autonomy to ambitious goals in a fast-paced environment
