One Acre Fund is a non-profit organization established in 2005. We partner with farmers in nine African countries, providing farm supplies, credit, training, and other agricultural services, enabling smallholder farmers to increase their income and resilience. Currently, our team of over 9,000 works towards enhancing farm productivity.
Role Summary
- Lead the design and execution of adoption and marketing strategies for our agroforestry program.
- Develop and coordinate marketing interventions and community engagement.
- Monitor adoption performance and resolve field-level challenges.
- Sheet coaching and build a field team marketing capacity.
Role Requirements
- Experience in community engagement, marketing, or social behavior change in rural settings.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in sales, marketing, or adoption-focused roles within the development or social impact sector.
- Ability to design farmer-centered communication and outreach strategies.
- Moderate data analysis skills.

One Acre Fund was founded in 2006 and equips 5.5 million smallholder farmers to enhance their farm productivity across nine countries in Africa. We provide high-quality farm supplies, tree seedlings, accessible credit, modern agronomic training, and a variety of other agricultural services. Our model typically increases a farmer's income and assets on supported land by more than 35%, while permanently improving their resilience. Our team of over 9,000 full-time staff comes from diverse backgrounds and professions.
The role: As a Marketing & Adoption Specialist, you will lead the design and execution of adoption and marketing strategies to drive smallholder farmer adoption of our agroforestry program in Zambia. You will develop and coordinate high-quality marketing interventions, build field team marketing capacity, and strengthen targeted community engagement. You will also monitor adoption performance, resolve field-level challenges, and provide coaching to ensure consistent execution and achievement of adoption targets.
Job requirements: The ideal candidate will have knowledge of community engagement, marketing, or social behavior change in rural settings, with at least 3+ years of experience in sales, marketing, or adoption-focused roles within the development or social impact sector. You should be able to design farmer-centered communication and outreach strategies and have moderate data analysis skills.
