  • Role Summary:
    • Lead Policy Analyst - Climate within the Global Policy and Research Team.
    • Contribute to WaterAid's policy change agenda and global thought leadership.
    • Play a pivotal role in the mission to achieve equitable access to water, sanitation, and hygiene.
    • Report to the Director of Policy and Research, collaborating across the WaterAid Federation.
  • Role Requirements:
    • Proven experience in public policy and advocacy on climate change.
    • Strong personal network in the climate action field.
    • Skilled in research, policy analysis, and creating policy/advocacy documents.
    • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
    • Background in climate-related disciplines, with water resources management as an added asset.
    • Education from a renowned international university with research experience.
    • Deep commitment to WaterAid's vision, mission, and values.

The role: Join WaterAid as Lead Policy Analyst - Climate to change normal for millions of people so they can unlock their potential, break free from poverty and change their lives for good. This position will be based in WaterAid's Global Policy and Research Team (part of the Global Policy and Campaigns Department) and will report to the Director of Policy and Research. The Global Policy Team plays a leadership role across the WaterAid Federation in setting the WaterAid's policy change agenda and thought leadership to achieve equitable access to water, sanitation, and hygiene globally.

Job requirements: Experienced in working in public policy and advocacy on issues related to climate change with an extensive personal network in the climate action arena; Experienced in research, policy analysis, preparing policy/advocacy briefs and papers with impeccable verbal and written skills in English; Experienced in climate-related disciplines, such as environmental/earth sciences or other climate-related disciplines; water resources management experience to be considered an asset but not mandatory; Qualified from an internationally recognised university, with research experience; Fully committed to WaterAid's vision, mission and values and a way of working that demonstrates this, with the ability to communicate this enthusiasm to others.
