Sport England is looking for a Junior Performance Analyst to help support the work in the Partner Performance team to assess and progress against defined goals and measures, enabling the wider Partnerships Directorate to work effectively with partners to deliver against our ten-year strategy ‘Uniting the Movement’.

Your experience managing and interpreting data will be key as you’ll be using business intelligence software such as SmartSheet and Power BI for data visualisation, performance management and analysis. Day to day you’ll support Sport England to understand the trends related to partner performance and operational effectiveness which will inform learning about collective progress.

Working with a variety internal Sport England teams and strategic partners, you will support the delivery of a range of exciting and innovative projects. Role Purpose: Support the organisation to understand the trends related to partner performance and operational effectiveness, informing learning about collective progress across a variety of internal teams.

Skills & Experience Essential: 1. Experience managing and interpreting data. 2. Experience of using business intelligence software such as SmartSheet, Power BI, or other similar tools for reporting, data visualisation, performance management and analysis. 3. Ability to proactively identify problems, and offer creative solutions solve problems both independently and as part of a team. 4. Proven project management skills. 5. Experience of supporting multiple collaborative projects. 6. Ability to communicate information effectively to a range of audiences. Good written and verbal skills, including the ability to present information clearly (data or written reports). 7. Ability to think critically and develop ideas as part of a team. 8. Ability to facilitate, build and develop strong and effective relationships. 9. Commitment to personal development. 10. Good time management, with a proven record of working effectively to deadlines.

Desirable: 1. An understanding of the sporting eco-system and Sport England’s strategic partners 2. Proven skills of communicating with senior colleagues, board members or government. 3. Degree qualification in either statistics, data, sport science, psychology or other relevant experience.
