Role Summary:

  • Drive brand presence across social media, managing content and analytics to enhance engagement.
  • Collaborate with various departments to promote thought leadership, events, and sector-specific initiatives.
  • Oversee Emperor's website updates and content, ensuring accuracy and best practices.
  • Coordinate and represent Emperor at industry events, managing all logistics and follow-ups.
  • Champion our achievements by managing our awards calendar and crafting winning award entries.
  • Create compelling case studies in collaboration with design and client services teams.
  • Update and maintain our reputation on external platforms such as YouTube and Glassdoor.
  • Develop and execute targeted marketing campaigns and press releases.

The Role 

The role of the Marketing Executive is to help build Emperor’s profile among our industry partners, peers and wider network. Overseeing the use of a number of different platforms, the Marketing Executive will be comfortable multi-tasking responsibilities and confident in dealing with people at all levels throughout the business. The role will include collaborating with our new business department on sector specific requirements.

As a confident copywriter, the Marketing Executive will execute a comprehensive content calendar, ensuring that our creative work, thought leadership and events are promoted regularly in line with our brand and tone of voice. Reporting to the Co-CEO, the Marketing Executive will be responsible for implementing and driving our external activities and be the go-to contact for both the UK and internationally.

Key duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:

Social media


  • Responsible for the management of all social channels to ensure appropriate, relevant and joined-up posts that engage with our different audiences
  • Drafting our social content and populating a forward planner
  • Driving our social media following by engaging with our network of partnership or affiliate organisations and ensuring visibility to our partners’ audiences
  • Using analytics to influence frequency, topics and types of posts
  • Identifying and trying new and different content types
  • Working with the design team to create engaging assets
  • Working with partners to identify new pieces of work that can be promoted externally

Website


  • Responsibility for regularly updating Emperor’s website via Umbraco
  • Rigorous testing and checking to ensure content displays correctly
  • Training and ensuring best practice use by other content loaders
  • Managing bugs and amends via the Emperor tech team
  • Working with proposition leads to identify new content for the website
  • Regularly reviewing existing case studies and updating as necessary
  • Using basic Google Analytics to understand visitor behaviour and producing a monthly report to influence decision making

Events


  • Coordinating online and in person events from start to finish, including invitation creation and distribution, external promotion, venue sourcing, catering, specifics and tech on the day, main point of contact for the event and coordinating follow up
  • Being a representative for Emperor at events that we sponsor such as LSEG IR Masterclass and Workiva events

Awards


  • Work with client-facing teams to ensure the continuous recognition of our work across all propositions throughout the year
  • Maintaining a calendar of all awards and advising teams on entries
  • Managing deadlines and coordinating copyediting, design and proofreading, with final oversight of each entry
  • Researching new awards on a yearly basis

Case studies


  • Coordinate the continuous production of client case studies working with our Design and Client Services teams
  • Briefing Partners on the correct process for creating case studies
  • Ensuring the correct use of and access to these case studies for our partners
  • Scheduling publication and uploading to our website according to our content calendar

Reputation


  • Update external platform, including (but not limited to): YouTube, Vimeo, Google My Business, BIMA, LSE Spark, B Hive and Glassdoor
  • Work with our internal communications team to promote our latest external marketing activity to our partners
  • Responsible for fulfilling and sending the CEO client email to all client contacts, as well as managing the distribution list
  • Production of all marketing material to ensure adequate internal resources, correct use of the Emperor brand and TOV, and appropriate use and sharing

Campaigns


  • Working with the new business team to create email campaigns to prospective clients. This includes the creation of assets and drafting copy
  • Managing and creating campaigns for Emperor such as our Annual Report, Employee Ownership and B Corp certification

Press Releases


  • Maintaining a media list with a record of all press coverage and relevant media contacts
  • Drafting press releases and distributing to the relevant contacts

AOB


  • Managing the Emperor marketing budget and ensuring that spending is on track
  • Managing all invoices through Paprika
  • Meeting monthly with proposition leads to discuss events, thought leadership and any external activity
  • Carrying out a quarterly competitor analysis to identify industry trends and any gaps that Emperor needs to address
