  • Role Summary:
    • Develop and manage educational tours in Thailand
    • Expand our product offerings in the region
    • Research and recommend tour components
    • Prepare quotes and budgets for travel parties
    • Lead tours and support Adventure Leader recruitment
    • Provide assistance during tour emergencies
    • Collaborate with the bookings team as needed
  • Role Requirements:
    • Fluent in English with excellent communication skills
    • In-depth knowledge of the Thai travel industry
    • Experience guiding educational tours
    • Team player with a keen eye for detail
    • Ability to manage diverse tasks and projects
    • Initiative and creative problem-solving skills
    • Strong writing proficiency
    • Clear and confident communication by phone
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Knowledge of additional Asian languages, particularly Thai, is advantageous

We focus on offering bespoke itineraries that deliver prescribed learning outcomes and unique, engaging activities to inspire the next generation of global citizens. We are part of the Transforma Travel Group, a leading youth travel company. Our mission is to expand minds through transformative travel experiences.

The Role: We are seeking a new team member to join us as a Regional Specialist for Thailand. In this role, you will have a vital role in planning and operating our educational tours in Thailand. We are looking to build out our product in Thailand, and someone with excellent local knowledge and contacts is vital to help build our presence in the region. You would report to our South East Asia Regional Specialist.

Responsibilities: Your responsibilities will include developing new standard itineraries in Thailand, researching and recommending tour components for upcoming tours, completing quote requests and budgets for parties interested in trips to Thailand, guiding tours as an Adventure Leader, assisting with Adventure Leader recruitment, supporting with emergencies for tours in Thailand, and assisting the bookings team when needed.

Competencies: We are looking for a new member who has excellent spoken and written English language skills, excellent knowledge of the travel industry in Thailand, has guided educational tours, is a team player, has high attention to detail, is organized and able to balance a reactive workload together with ongoing projects, demonstrates initiative and creativity, has strong writing skills, has a confident, clear and approachable telephone manner, and is proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint. Additional Asian languages, especially Thai, is a plus.
