Rapha’s customer base stretches across all seven continents. We sell our products online and in our network of Rapha Clubhouses, but our mission goes beyond providing riders with the world’s finest cycling apparel; through the Rapha Cycling Club we provide a global community of cyclists with a platform to enjoy events, rides, kit and friendship. Our aim is to inspire the world to live life by bike.

We are hiring a passionate and brand-minded Social Media Executive. This role, based in our central office in London, will join the Global Rapha Marketing team who are focused on inspiring the world to live life by bike. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and executing a compelling global social media program that leverages key media channels to showcase the best of Rapha. The role works closely with the Central & Regional Marketing Teams. Once up and running, they will see social media campaigns through from their inception to execution and reporting stages.

This candidate loves cycling. They are a self-starter with a customer-centric mindset. They are creative, excited to explore new ideas, and have an understanding of Brand tone, voice & aesthetic. They enjoy creating content, communication, coordinating with others, and are proactive in seeking out opportunities for improvement. They have design skills and a design eye, through the use of apps like Canva, Illustrator, Photoshop or other.

The Role

As Rapha’s Social Media Executive, you will be at the forefront of representing the Rapha brand across various digital platforms. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our social media strategy, activating key relationships with athletes & influencers, and showcasing engaging content that inspires the world to live life by bike. This position requires a deep understanding of the cycling community, strong communication skills, creativity, and a passion for storytelling.


Social Media:

  1. Implement a comprehensive social media plan aligned with Rapha's brand identity, values, and objectives.

  2. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to optimize social media performance across key platforms — Instagram, TikTok, Strava,Youtube, LinkedIn etc.

  3. Monitor and analyze social media metrics to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and initiatives.

  4. Be the expert on how to best engage Rapha’s audience through social media platforms, exploring best practices on current platforms and driving adoption of new platforms as the landscape evolves.

Content Creation:

  1. Work with the Press & Influence Manager to activate our key advocates across the network to create compelling and exciting User Generated Content that will connect our social channels with our customers

Community Engagement:

  1. Engage with Rapha's online community across social media platforms, fostering meaningful conversations and building brand loyalty.

  2. Respond to inquiries, comments, and messages in a timely and professional manner, representing the brand's values and ethos.

  3. Support Regional Marketing Teams with their social media platforms, providing guidance for best practice, activation of key campaigns, and engagement with advocates.

Performance Analysis and Reporting:

  1. Regularly analyze social media performance metrics, including reach, engagement, and conversion rates.

  2. Compile and present reports on social media KPIs, campaign performance, and audience insights.

  3. Use data-driven insights to optimize content strategy, improve audience targeting, and drive business objectives.

About You:

  1. Proven experience in social media management, influencer marketing, or digital marketing, preferably within the sports or outdoor industry.

  2. Deep understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices.

  3. Excellent and confident written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.

  4. Ability to present yourself as an expert in your field, you can lead, inspire and influence others.

  5. Strong creative abilities and interests, including photography, videography, and graphic design skills — having worked with apps like Canva, Illustrator, Photoshop or similar.

  6. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  7. Passion for cycling and outdoor activities is highly desirable.
