About our Organisation Soil Association Certification offers a huge range of organic and sustainable certification schemes across food, farming, catering, health and beauty, textiles and forestry which are recognised and trusted by consumers and businesses around the world. We’re the UK’s leading organic certifier – you’ll find our symbol on over 70% of organic products. Soil Association Exchange is a new service for all UK farmers to help them farm in a way that improves the climate and protects nature and enhances their profitability.

The Role SA Exchange works with farmers to measure the environmental impacts of their farm across 6 different metrics – and then delivers bespoke advice on how those scores can be improved. Working alongside a farming advisor the technician’s responsibilities include arranging and carrying out infield assessment for soil and biodiversity. The role is flexible and you can arrange your own schedule. Training is expected to take place at the end of June, with the workload increasing significantly in the spring and summer months.

Job Requirements With practical experience in agriculture, environmental or habitat conservation you will understand complex farming environments. You will have a can-do attitude and be happy to work outdoors in all weather conditions as the job can be physically demanding. You will be a confident communicator who is able to prioritise and meet deadlines.
