We are looking for a Head of the Ariane 6 Programme in the Directorate of Space Transportation. You will be reporting directly to the Director of Space Transportation and will be responsible for the overall implementation of the Ariane 6 development programme and ESA activities in the context of the ramp-up of Ariane 6 production until full operational capacity is achieved.
The role entails leading the teams responsible for launcher system development, ground segment development, and the overall launch system architect role of ESA, including ESA’s future role in the Ariane 6 exploitation programme. You will also be responsible for monitoring compliance with the high-level requirements of the Ariane 6 launch system and the achievement of full operational capability at flight model 15.
Job requirements include a master's degree in engineering, experience in the management of the development and exploitation of launch systems, and interaction with European space industry at the highest level. You should also have proven experience of leading, motivating and developing a team, excellent cognitive, analytical, delegation, planning and organisational skills, and the ability to reach solution-oriented, pragmatic and timely decisions of a high standard and with integrity.
