The Directorate of Connectivity and Secure Communications supports innovation to boost the competitiveness of European industry in the global space market. This involves a wide range of activities, from space-based technology, systems, and products for telecommunications development to the application on Earth of space-based services, and entails engagement with a wide range of industrial, entrepreneurial, and institutional partners.

The role of the Connectivity Market and Business Intelligence Officer in the Market Analysis and Business Intelligence Section, Future Programmes Division, Systems, Strategic Programme Lines and Technology Department, Directorate of Connectivity and Secure Communications (D/CSC) involves monitoring and assessing satcom and telecom market evolution and changes in the connectivity business environment; managing and coordinating the analysis of telecom business trends and business needs and evolutions of internal and external stakeholders, recommending business intelligence solutions and programmatic actions to satisfy those needs.

Job requirements include a master’s degree in a relevant domain, strong problem-solving skills, together with demonstrated planning and organisational skills; A strong result orientation with the ability to set priorities and present practical solutions both orally and in writing. Direct experience of working with a commercial satellite telecommunications company will be a distinct advantage.
