About us
dxw works with the public and third sectors to create services and products that improve lives. We've been around since 2008 and worked on lots of projects that have made a real difference - things like helping to reduce reoffending, improving awareness of Adult Social Care and supporting organisations to move away from legacy tech. dxw is employee-owned and staff have an important voice in the direction of the company. People - the people who work at dxw, our clients, and the people we create services for - are at the forefront of what we do. Everything we work on aligns with our mission, values, and principles. Our principles encompass a fundamental desire for us to look after our and our clients information. We handle clients' information and data with the utmost care and confidentiality and hold ISO27001 certification. We encourage people looking for flexible working arrangements to apply. We think it's important to have diverse teams and aim to create an environment where everyone is supported to do their best and be themselves.
About the role
dxw's Platform Engineering team is responsible for developing, maintaining, operating and supporting our technical infrastructure. Our infrastructure is cloud-based, and we're improving and iterating our deployment stack over time towards better and more reliable technologies. The team develops, implements and documents these technologies, working with our developers to understand and assist on their operational needs, and doing other client work as needed. As a Platform Engineer, you'll contribute to work on our platforms, adding to their functionality and robustness. You will also deal with proactive and reactive maintenance, client support and be part of our regular on-call schedule. You can be based remotely, and have the option of working from our offices in London or Leeds. Some client work may occasionally be necessary at sites around England and also occasional visits to London for team working, but this will be infrequent.
