Role Summary

  • Lead a development squad of engineers as a Technical Product Owner.
  • Collaborate with client project managers and the Product team to design and manage solutions.
  • Handle the full development lifecycle, from specification to configuration and task management.
  • Improve and refine processes for a robust product development cycle.
  • Prepare development specifications and organize tickets for efficient workflow.
  • Play a key role in mitigating issues to ensure successful release/sprint goals.
  • Manage team budgets and project financials.

Role Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in digital project delivery, including websites or CRM systems.
  • Technical proficiency with Drupal is advantageous.
  • Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, AWS, and Git is essential.
  • Prior experience in a digital agency is considered a bonus.

We specialise in CiviCRM, the dedicated nonprofit CRM, the Drupal CMS platform, and we are also the creators of the CiviPlus platform. Our clients include membership organisations, nonprofit organisations, and government institutions.

As a Technical Product Owner, you will report to the Head of Product, leading a development squad of engineers. You will work closely with our client project managers and the Product team to ideate solutions to meet client needs before managing the full development lifecycle spanning specification, configuration and the management of development tasks. You will also work with other stakeholders on small feature improvements and bug fixes. It’s a broad remit so expect each day to be a little bit different!

We’re a very process-driven team who always seek to do things “the right way” to create robust products. We’re looking for people who can both contribute to ensuring those processes are followed but also help us to develop and refine new processes.

Key responsibilities include preparing specification documents for build and configuration, converting specifications into highly organised development tickets, providing an active role in mitigating any issues that might impact the successful team completion of release/sprint goals, and managing the team's budget.

We are looking for someone with 3+ years of experience delivering digital projects including websites or CRM. A technical background in Drupal would be a plus. Familiarity with tools and technologies used in the field i.e. Jira, Confluence, AWS, Git is required. Previous experience working in a digital agency is a bonus.
