Role Summary:Lead quantitative research within mixed methods projects that directly influence education policy.Manage quantitative research projects, ensuring timely progression and high-quality outcomes.Analyze data, prepare reports, and ensure quality control for diverse audiences.Build and maintain client relationships and manage project-related communication.Develop innovative research solutions and contribute to proposals.Represent NFER at external events to promote research and stay updated on industry trends.

Role Requirements:Degree with a focus on quantitative methods or equivalent experience.Experience in quantitative research in education, social policy, or international development.Proficiency in statistical software (STATA, SPSS, R) and MS Excel.Self-motivated with a consistent track record of meeting deadlines.Strong verbal and written communication skills, with report drafting experience.

As a Quantitative Analyst at NFER, you will shape and design research and evaluation projects that address pressing education policy and practice questions. Your work will involve working with primary data and analysis of secondary datasets, contributing to both UK and international education and development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities: •Lead the quantitative elements of mixed methods research projects, ensuring the analysis addresses research questions and client interests. •Manage small to medium-sized quantitative research and evaluation projects through their lifecycle, overseeing progress, risk, budget, and quality outputs. •Prepare, share, and quality-check reports and other outputs for various audiences. •Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders, managing relationships and addressing issues promptly. •Contribute to the development of innovative research and analysis solutions, and support the proposal development process. •Represent NFER at external meetings, conferences, and events, promoting our research and gaining insights into market and methodological developments.

Requirements: •A degree with a strong focus on quantitative approaches (e.g., economics) or equivalent professional experience. •Proven experience applying quantitative research and evaluation methods to education, social policy, and/or international development. •Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., STATA, SPSS, or R) and MS Excel. •Ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines consistently. •Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience drafting reports and publications.
