Position Details:

  • Part-time: 30 hours per week.
  • Fixed term until March 31, 2025.
  • Location: Edinburgh with hybrid working; travel required across Scotland and occasionally to Bristol.

About the Opportunity

This is an opportunity for someone who is passionate about good food:- good food being food that is good for health, good for the environment and good for the economy. As a member of the Scotland team, the Menu and Catering Skills Officer will play a key role in supporting the delivery of the Soil Association’s Food for Life programme. Promoting healthy and sustainable diets in schools and other public sector settings across Scotland, the postholder will support caterers in their menu planning and design, helping increase their knowledge and understanding of the programme and raise awareness. Being equally passionate about people they will also work with a range of teams to deliver training and other support as appropriate. About You

You will be a highly motivated and organised individual competent in juggling multiple tasks to support delivery of the objectives of the organisation. Capable of building and maintaining strong relationships with a variety of stakeholders you will possess excellent interpersonal skills. The postholder will also have outstanding verbal, written and presentation skills and be confident working with various IT systems. 30 hours per week (with flexibility to travel and on occasions work evening/weekends to support events)
