We are hiring a passionate and brand-minded Influence & Media Manager. This role, based in our central office in London, will join the Global Rapha Marketing team who are focused on inspiring the world to live life by bike. As Rapha’s Influence & Media Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving brand visibility, engagement and reach through strategic influencer relationships and brand building with media publications. You will be responsible for developing a progressive approach to increasing our brand reach and salience through meaningful relationships with influential figures within the cycling and active lifestyle industries, as well as key media outlets and journalists. This position requires a combination of creativity, communication skills, and a deep understanding of the cycling and lifestyle industries.


The Role

As Rapha’s Influence & Media Manager, you will be at the forefront of representing the Rapha brand to the most influential individuals across the endemic cycling and lifestyle industries. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our Press and Influencer strategy, building and activating our relationships with media outlets & influencers, and showcasing the best of Rapha through partnerships, Press materials, activations and social channels. This position requires a deep understanding of the press and media landscape, cycling community, strong communication skills, creativity, and a passion for storytelling and relationship building..


Key Responsibilities

Influencer Management:


  1. Build and activate a global influencer program that drives increased brand awareness and adoption by our target customer across our key markets.


  2. Establish strong relationships, partnerships and collaborations with key influencers in the cycling and outdoor community that ladder into our brand goals.


  3. Negotiate partnerships & deliverables for the Influencer Program that allow us to activate Rapha across influencer and Rapha channels.


  4. Collaborate with the influencer Network to build campaigns, including content creation, tracking deliverables, and measuring campaign success.


  5. Align our global influencer program to bring our Brand Marketing Calendar and key product priorities to life through influential individuals across the endemic cycling and active lifestyle categories.


  6. Provide strategic input on campaign messaging, content creation, and distribution channels to maximize reach and impact.


  7. Channel focus on activating across instagram, Strava, Youtube & Tiktok


Media & Press:


  1. Develop and execute a comprehensive influence strategy to land positive coverage in target publications.


  2. Cultivate and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, and media professionals to effectively pitch Rapha's stories, products, and initiatives.


  3. Create compelling press materials, including press releases, media kits, and pitches, tailored to different media segments and platforms.


  4. Support the planning and execution of events, activations, and product launches, coordinating press and influencer attendance and coverage.


  5. Liaise with media and influencers before, during, and after events to facilitate interviews, content creation, and social media coverage.



Team Management

  1. Manage the performance and development of our Social Media Executive. As their direct manager, you’ll be responsible for the execution of our social media program and ability to activate Press and Influencers across key media channels.


Market Analysis and Insights:


  1. Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging media and influencer opportunities.


  2. Conduct regular analysis of press and influencer performance, identifying successes, challenges, and areas for improvement.


  3. Utilize insights to inform future strategies and initiatives, keeping Rapha at the forefront of media and influencer engagement.



About You:


  1. Proven experience in press relations, media outreach, and influencer management, preferably within the cycling or lifestyle industry.


  2. Strong network of media contacts and influencer relationships within the endemic cycling and active lifestyle categories.


  3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and pitches.


  4. Creative thinker with a strategic mindset and a track record of successful campaign execution.


  5. Strong creative abilities and interests, with an eye for design, brand tone & voice.


  6. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.


  7. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and adapt to changing priorities.


  8. Passion for cycling and a genuine appreciation for Rapha's brand ethos and culture.
