Rewilding Europe is at the forefront of transforming the continent by restoring its natural landscapes and biodiversity. With an ambitious 2030 vision, the organization is expanding its operations and seeking a Head of Landscapes to guide and support various rewilding teams across Europe. Rewilding Europe is an innovative and passionate team working towards making Europe a wilder place. We are experiencing great momentum and are stepping up our operations in the rewilding landscapes, towards ambitious goals for 2030. We are now looking for a new Head of Landscapes to strengthen our Central Team.

The role of the Head of Landscapes is to ensure a strong collaboration with at least five different rewilding landscape teams and empower them to deliver on Rewilding Europe’s strategy, based on strategic plans for these landscapes. The position is both strategic and operational and very result-oriented. The Head of Landscapes reports to the Executive Director and is based in a European country from which regular international travel to the rewilding landscapes is fairly easy.

Job requirements include a Master’s degree in conservation, rewilding, wildlife biology or related fields. At least 8 years of experience in the above fields, in particular with very operational (field) experience in Europe. A track record in successful intercultural communication in an international working environment. Experience and ability to develop fundraising proposals, and manage donor relations. Full proficiency in English, other European languages is strongly preferred.

Rewilding Europe offers competitive salaries, commensurate with background, expertise, level of experience, and country of residence. This position is graded in salary scale 10 with the salary structure of Rewilding Europe ranging from scale 4 to scale 11.
