The British Museum is recruiting for the role of Membership and Supporter Engagement Coordinator. This role supports all the engagement and marketing activities of the Membership team including, production and delivery of print and digital communications, web-based interactions and magazine administration.

The role offers an exciting opportunity to work across a variety of projects and systems and suits someone with prior experience supporting customer and community engagement. In particular the post holder will work with the Membership and Supporter Engagement Manager to produce effective and strategic email communications and produce editorial content for the British Museum Magazine, Young persons’ magazine and the Member’s podcast.

The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level, or equivalent, and will have demonstrable experience of working in a marketing or fundraising team for a charitable or public sector organisation. With good understanding of fundraising and marketing principles, you will have experience of using a database and producing communications. We are looking for a highly organised and proactive individual, who can prioritise workloads and work collaboratively as part of a team. You will be an excellent communicator with strong negotiation and diplomacy skills and the ability to work out of hours, where necessary.
