The Literacy Pirates is an exciting organisation that has been impacting children’s literacy since 2011. We are currently on the lookout for a Head of Operations & People. This is a new senior role in the organisation, and we are looking for someone who has experience developing digital products, understands the interplay between systems and processes and getting the best out of people, and the importance of sustaining a positive organisational culture.

The role entails playing an active role in the Senior Leadership Team supporting the CEO to deliver the strategy. You will lead on culture, people and digital transformation within the organisation. You will also manage the Office Administrator and work closely with the Finance Director.

Job requirements include demonstrable experience of operating in a senior leadership or management role with a growth mindset and high levels of ambition. You should have experience of managing people and projects effectively and with kindness. Experience in creating systems and processes that create a great working culture is also required.

The position is full-time, permanent (35 hours per week, with core hours of 11am-7pm, Monday to Friday with a commitment to flexible working requests). The location is Hackney and home working, or completely remote with travel to Hackney monthly. The salary is £50,000 (inc. London weighting). The application deadline is 9am Wed 26th June 2024.
