At Creandum we back the companies of tomorrow before it's obvious. We invest in early-stage entrepreneurs and support them on their way to building global, category-defining companies. Our early investments include Spotify, iZettle, Depop, Klarna, Bolt, neo4j, KRY, Epidemic Sound and Small Giant Games.
We are excited to have invested in three former Palantir engineers who we believe are on their way to defining a new technology category within the ERP space. Having assembled a world-class engineering team, the company is now looking for an exceptional operator to help make this vision a reality.
As a Founders Associate, you will play a pivotal role in the company's growth and development. This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with the founders, providing critical support across various areas, including operations, finance, GTM, and product development.
Successful Candidate Profile
As an ex-Palantir team we deeply believe in the power of a truth-seeking organisation, which means we value the power of the argument over who contributed it. We also love multidisciplinary backgrounds, with the conviction that a driven and hungry individual will always outperform static skills. As a result, this role will have the opportunity for outsized ownership and impact.
The ideal candidate embraces and thrives in a culture like this. They need to be a highly motivated, versatile individual with a startup mindset, ready to tackle challenges head-on, drive initiatives, and contribute to the company's success. Most of all, we want someone that is just as excited as we are to build a massively successful company and work on challenges they never thought they were capable of tackling.
While we need someone that is enthusiastic about supporting in whatever way accelerates the company to start with (just as the founders are), we would love to see the individual growing into a more formal leadership role over time as the company grows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the founders directly in day-to-day operations, strategic planning, and decision-making processes.
- Set up several company functions from scratch, including finance, accounting, HR, and planning.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges and present actionable insights.
- Assist in the implementation of business goals to achieve short-term and long-term objectives.
- Coordinate and manage projects across different teams, ensuring alignment with the company's goals and timelines.
- Facilitate communication between the founders and internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders.
- Prepare and manage documentation and presentations for internal and external meetings, including investor pitches and board meetings.
- Represent the company at networking events, conferences, and meetings, fostering relationships that could lead to partnerships and opportunities.
- Assist in managing the company's social media presence and public relations efforts to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
Requirements:
- We welcome people from a variety of backgrounds. The most critical qualification is a deep sense of ownership and initiative - if you are entrusted with a task, you will find a way to get it done. When you see something that should be improved, you make a suggestion on how to do that.
- Having a solid confidence level with spreadsheets, financial modelling and effective presentations is a must.
- Ideally proven experience in a startup environment, consulting, or a similar fast-paced, dynamic role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to derive insights from data and translate them into actionable strategies.
- Exceptional organizational and project management abilities, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Context switching may be your superpower!
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the proficiency to interact effectively with all levels of management, our team, external contacts and our investors.
- Proactive, self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a rapidly changing environment.
- German is a plus because most of our customers are based there. However, the company language is strictly English.
We are paying a highly competitive salary (GBP 70-90k annually, depending on experience) and will reward you with a substantial equity package under the tax-efficient EMI scheme.
We are also in the process of putting together a well-rounded benefits package that will include a take-what-you-need holiday policy, food in the office, exercise classes, and health insurance.
As an equal opportunity employer, we are dedicated to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace. Everyone, regardless of their background, is encouraged to apply.
