Role Summary:

  • Act as a central point of contact for the Movember Ahead of the Game (MAOTG) program.
  • Collaborate with global sports entities to manage and monitor the program’s delivery.
  • Support program implementation and coordinate project activities.

Role Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of project coordination experience in health, community, sports, or nonprofit sector.
  • A fervent desire to enhance youth mental health through evidence-based programs.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven abilities in project management, time management, teamwork, and risk identification.
  • High competency in organization, multitasking, and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, intermediate Excel, and the ability to quickly learn new software systems.
  • Flexibility to accommodate global calls and team meetings outside of standard hours.

Movember is the leading charity changing the face of men’s health globally, tackling mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer, and testicular cancer. We are seeking a passionate Project Coordinator to join our Melbourne based team.

The role involves providing global project coordination for one of the largest mental health programs in community sports in the world. You will become a key contact for the Movember Ahead of the Game (MAOTG) program, working with colleagues both internally and externally to ensure the smooth running of this evidence-based program. You will work alongside some of the most influential sporting codes in the globe including soccer, rugby league, Aussie rules, rugby union and many more to manage and monitor delivery, support implementation and coordinate project secretariat for the MAOTG program.

Job requirements include 2-3 years’ experience in project coordination in health, community, sports or in not-for-profit sector. A passion for improving youth mental health through implementing and building evidence-based programs. Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively build relationships with all levels of the organisation. Demonstrated skills in project coordination, time management, team work, problem-solving and identifying risks. Well-developed organisation skills and ability to work in a fast paced and growth environment. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines. Outcomes focused, with an understanding of performance measurement. Computer literacy skills - Proficient using Microsoft Office programs, including intermediate Excel skills. Ability to learn and effectively use other software systems (i.e. Asana). Ability to deal with ambiguity and ‘think on your feet’. Flexibility to attend calls outside normal work hours, including two global team meetings per month and other meetings as required.
