The Role: As a Researcher in Assessment at NFER, you will conduct a range of activities on various English assessment projects, including finding and developing reading texts, creating writing prompts, and writing content for paper-based and computer-based assessments. You will also contribute to the wider assessment and research activities of the Department, including business development and proposal writing.

Job Requirements: A degree or equivalent in English or a relevant subject/combined subject. A teaching qualification. A background in secondary English teaching and assessment, including GCSE and A level. Basic knowledge and skills in assessment and research. Knowledge of the basic principles of project management. Ability to manage your own time and work to deadlines. Experience of work in UK schools. Good organisational and communication skills.
