- Role Summary:
- Develop and implement business development strategies for the Nordic region.
- Forge and deepen relationships with clients, prospects, and industry leaders.
- Manage and grow a Book of Business, driving new opportunities and renewals.
- Lead RFP coordination and responses, and act as a trusted advisor on Responsible Investment strategies.
- Stay updated on market developments and contribute to product innovation.
- Represent the company at events and through public speaking engagements.

- Role Requirements:
- Proven ability to understand customer needs and effectively communicate complex product value propositions.
- Record of meeting/exceeding sales targets in financial services or a relevant competitive sector.
- Experience in managing full sales cycles, from prospecting to closing and client relationship management.
- Demonstrated passion for sustainable investing and alignment with company mission and values.
- Established network in the relevant market with experience in cultural sales dynamics.
- Fluent in Swedish and English, additional Nordic language skills advantageous.
- A minimum of 5-7 years in Business Development or financial services; relevant degree preferred.
- Strong client servicing and consultative sales skills.
- Desire to work within an international and diverse team.

We are looking for an experienced business development professional to contribute to our business development in the Nordic region. This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate across all areas of Morningstar|Sustainalytics and to work with the Client Success teams to grow our market presence. Your strong understanding of investor needs, and business drivers preferably supplemented with sincere interest in the responsible investment space, will be the key to success. This role has a strong emphasis on relationship development with clients and prospects as well as maintenance of a Book of Business of existing clients. You will be an ambassador for Morningstar|Sustainalytics from early on.
Job Responsibilities: Play a leading role in developing and implementing Morningstar|Sustainalytics' business development strategy for the Nordic region. Build profound relationships with all stakeholders, including clients, prospects, and industry leaders. Full ownership of a Book of Business, including maintaining existing business and developing new opportunities. Grow and maintain a robust sales pipeline by: Owning a Book of Business and identifying and successfully closing commercial opportunities, as well as renewing existing business. Acting as the lead in coordinating and responding to proposals (RFPs) for the region. Serving as a trusted advisor to institutional and retail investors, banks, and insurance companies on applying Responsible Investment strategies and incorporating our products and services. Keeping abreast of market developments, identifying, and sharing product innovation opportunities. Representing the company at industry events, conferences, and public speaking engagements. Collaborating on a daily basis with colleagues in our other European offices, as well as in the US and Canada.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate needs to be an ambitious team player who can both succeed individually, as well as reach goals through close collaboration with other team members. The ideal candidate will have: Demonstrated ability to understand customers' needs, identify opportunities, and effectively communicate the value proposition of complex products. Successful track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a competitive environment, preferably within the financial services industry. Proficiency in managing the entire sales process from prospecting and lead generation to closing deals and maintaining client relationships. Demonstrated passion for business success including building relationships with all stakeholders across the business Genuine interest in sustainable investing and an alignment with Morningstar|Sustainalytics’ mission, vision and values Strong network in the relevant market and experience with selling in such cultures Swedish and English fluency (essential); Fluency in other Nordic languages is a plus Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in Business Development or financial services work experience; Degree in related discipline (business, finance, environment and/or social sciences); Strong client servicing, consultative sales and overall strong commercial skills; The desire to work very closely within an international and diverse team
