What will you be doing?
Our trustees will confront urgent issues facing northern based NGOs, including the need for changes in their role/shifting power to southern NGO’s and the need for donors to provide flexible, long term funding that builds resilience and viability.
What are we looking for?
We value experience and enthusiasm in areas such as fundraising, communications, finance and international development, (especially relating to East Africa). Qualities of trustees we think are important include:
strategic thinking that is creative, bold and forward-looking excellent communication and interpersonal skills a willingness to challenge and constructively criticise
What difference will you make?
You will help help Ace Africa UK lead the way in shifting power from north to south, while maximising the resources we can generate as a UK registered charity which otherwise will not be available to our partners in Kenya and Tanzania
