Role Summary

  • Serve as the Funding Manager in the Cells, Systems and Tools team within the Research Funding department.
  • Manage a portfolio of grants from application to award phase
  • Coordinate reviews, committees, and funding decisions, while ensuring clear communication with applicants and grant holders.
  • Lead funding process and policies enhancements, and be the team's respected expert.
  • Provide coverage for the Senior Manager when required, thus ensuring seamless team operations.

Role Requirements

  • You have experience in managing research funding processes and are comfortable dealing with complex data and various stakeholders in the academic research sector.
  • You hold a degree in a relevant field such as science, medical humanities, social science, or public health.
  • You possess strong organizational skills, have experience in funding committee management, and excellent communication skills.

The role: As a Funding Manager in the Cells, Systems and Tools team within our Research Funding department, you will manage a portfolio of grants from application through to award. You will lead improvements to funding processes and policies, and act as a trusted expert within the team. Additionally, you will provide cover for the Senior Manager as needed, contributing to the smooth delivery of the team’s work.
