- Take the reins as Mob's first Lead Product Designer for Mob Premium, a subscription-based platform.

- Role Requirements:
- Minimum 6 years in UI/UX Design, with a portfolio showcasing your expertise in website and mobile app design.
- Expertise in user-centred design principles, responsive and mobile-first design, with proficiency in Figma and other industry-standard tools.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and multi-tasking skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, with a creative mindset and openness to experimentation.
- A passion for food and cooking is a plus, alongside an eagerness to contribute to strategic discussions.

The organisation - Mob Mob was founded seven years ago by Ben Lebus. Over the last 7 years, Ben and the team have built Mob into the most followed food media brand in the UK, with an audience of 4 million across various channels. They have released 5 bestselling cookbooks and worked on partnerships with some of the most prominent consumer-facing brands in the industry. Last year saw them launch Mob Premium, a subscription-based members platform launched in April 2023, which scaled to ~41,000 paid subscribers and £140,000 MMR within 14 months. The team are now working on an app to create an even more compelling product for users.
The role - Lead Product Designer With the launch of Mob Premium, Mob now offers a membership which includes exclusive recipes and increased website functionality. This bespoke membership service is currently operating from the Mob Premium area on the website. This is where you come in as Mob’s first Lead Product Designer. The functionality will go beyond searching for recipes into greater personalisation and recommendations, meal planning, goal tracking (with full disclosure of nutritional information) and community building, all at their customers' fingertips.
Job requirements 6+ years hands-on experience as a UI / UX Designer. Experience in creating and growing UI-systems for websites and mobile applications. Thorough understanding of user-centred design, responsive design, mobile first design, and web standards. Deep understanding of industry standard tools (specifically Figma). Strong problem-solving skills and knowledge of UX processes and methodologies. Efficient, detail-oriented, organised, and able to work under tight deadlines. Strong multi-tasking skills; able to prioritise own work (and ask questions when it's ambiguous). Strong creative instincts and willingness to push further through experimentation. Advanced understanding of how to apply the methodologies of interaction design and research to business problems. Additional skills are a bonus: motion, code, illustration, etc. Interest in cooking and food is preferable. Ambitious self-starter who can thrive in ambiguity. Comfortable engaging with the strategic dimension of our work. Articulate, and confident presenting work. Strong creative instincts and willingness to push further through experimentation.
