Role Summary

The role: As a Senior Research Manager in the Infectious Disease Solutions Programme (IDSP), you will be part of a new team at a crucial stage, helping to drive forward our strategy. The team focuses on environmental change and antimicrobial resistance as key drivers of infectious disease. You will contribute to the leadership, development, and delivery of the Vector Control and Therapeutics teams' strategic objectives, focusing on therapeutic R&D, including drug discovery, development, and translational science for infectious diseases. You will provide oversight to therapeutic projects in neglected tropical diseases, fungal infections, bacterial antimicrobial resistance (AMR), and tuberculosis (TB) research portfolios.

Job requirements: This role is suited for someone with significant expertise in infectious disease therapeutics, experienced in managing multiple projects, and capable of influencing and working with a diverse range of stakeholders. You should have a strong background in therapeutic R&D and be comfortable managing complex projects and competing priorities.
