Role Summary

  • Part of the Global Recruitment Team, supporting the Operations sub-team.
  • Responsible for maintaining efficient recruitment operations, managing candidate screening and selection process, and handling the candidate database.

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in any relevant field of study.
  • Preferred: 6 months to 1-year recruitment or relevant HR experience.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems, basic data analysis skills, and proficiency in English are desirable.

About One Acre Fund Founded in 2006, One Acre Fund equips 5.5 million smallholder farmers to make their farms more productive. Across nine countries that together are home to two-thirds of Africa's farmers, we provide high-quality farm supplies, tree seedlings, accessible credit, modern agronomic training, and a wide range of other agricultural services. On average, this model enables any farmer to increase their income and assets on supported land by more than 35 percent, while permanently improving their resilience. This is all made possible by our team of 9,000+ full-time staff, drawn from diverse backgrounds and professions.

The Role The Global Recruitment Intern will be a member of our Global Recruitment Team, supporting the Operations sub-team. You will report to the Recruitment Senior Coordinator and collaboratively work with others on the global team. Your responsibilities will include completing recurring tasks to keep our recruitment operations running with minimal errors, overseeing the candidate screening and selection process from application to hire, and managing the candidate database using our Applicant Tracking System to track applications and analyze data to improve processes.

Job Requirements For this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in any relevant field of study. It is nice to have 6 months to 1 year of recruitment or relevant HR experience, experience using applicant tracking systems (e.g., Greenhouse), basic data analysis skills, and proficiency in English. You should also have great learning skills, be curious, and have a knack for attention to detail.

Benefits Interns will be provided with a reasonable stipend for the duration of their contract. Rural area based fellows will be provided assistance in locating suitable housing.
