Role Summary:

  • Lead strategic finance transformation initiatives within Monzo.
  • Manage projects with a clear delivery plan, ensuring timely and within scope outcomes.
  • Implement changes to embed new practices and enhance business processes.
  • Monitor progress and efficiently resolve key risks and issues.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Finance department's project delivery processes and controls.

Role Requirements:

  • Experience in change management, particularly with SaaS solutions in a Finance context.
  • Excellent writing and internal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, collaborative, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Self-motivated with quick adaptability to new challenges and knowledge.
  • Preferred: Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business and experience in Change and Transformation Management, regulatory reporting, and financial forecasting.

About our Finance Transformation team

We are looking for a Finance Transformation Project Manager (12 month fixed term contract) to support Monzo’s Finance Transformation team and assist Finance and the wider business to implement strategic solutions. You will be responsible for defining and delivering against programme plans and working with the business to ensure the change is managed and delivered effectively on time and within scope.

🔑You’ll play a key role by…

  • Working closely with the Transformation and Finance teams to deliver on time  outcomes to the business, ensuring deliverables are well managed and within scope.
  • Leading the delivery of work streams and pieces of work by owning and defining the delivery plan.
  • Implementing Change and Transformation activities required to embed new behaviours, practices and business processes.
  • Monitoring delivery progress, course correct where needed and drive pro-active resolution of key risks, issues and dependencies.
  • Supporting the Finance Transformation Director with the continuous improvement of Finance’s project/programme delivery processes, controls

🤩We’d love to hear from you if…

  • You hold prior experience in change management for delivery SaaS solutions in a Finance team.
  • You have excellent writing skills for purposes of internal communication, drafting of internal documents and delivering  business advice.
  • You have strong interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • You’re forward thinking and a self-motivator who thrives on new challenges and  adapts quickly to learning new knowledge.
  • You have advanced analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to haves:

  • A bachelor's or vocational degree in Accounting, Finance or Business, with strong experience in Change and Transformation Management.
  • Experience in delivering regulatory reporting and financial forecasting solutions.

The interview process:

Our interview process involves 3 main stages: 

  • Phone call with recruiter (30 min)
  • Video interview with hiring manager + stakeholder (45 min)
  • Behavioural interview with finance stakeholders (45 min)
