What will you be doing?
Are you passionate about the impact of the arts? Could you help us to make a difference to the next generation of creative minds? RicNic (registered charity 1158837) is looking to recruit new trustees to our board. We are keen to hear from individuals who understand our work and the communities we serve. You might be an experienced professional with previous trustee experience, a young creative looking for ways to develop your career or perhaps a parent who has seen the impact of the arts on your children. If you are aged 18+ and are keen to support our work, we would love to chat further. We are particularly looking to recruit for * Future Chairperson (currently have interim co-Chair) * Finance Trustee/Treasurer * Individuals with experience of business growth, HR, governance * Young professionals and individuals with lived experience of working across the West Midlands.
What are we looking for?
Our ideal board will be made up of individuals who bring a diverse range of experiences, skills and perspectives to the table. You should primarily be enthusiastic about the impact that the arts can have on communities, and on younger people in particular. We have a small staff team who are very arts-focused in their skillset and we look to trustees who can bring additional knowledge in business, education, finance, HR and charity governance to underpin our strategic planning. We are particularly keen to have young voices present across our organisation, including at board level and are keen to hear from young professionals looking for their first trustee role.
What difference will you make?
You will be joining our charity at a very exciting point in our history as we prepare to celebrate our 21st birthday. The past 5 years have seen the charity grow considerably in our reach and impact. We are proud to have met the challenges of the pandemic, the cost of living crisis and increasing competition for arts fundraising head on, through the fortitude and dedication of our staff team and trustees. We want to ensure that RicNic continues to provide free arts projects and training for young people for another 21+ years. With your help, guidance and enthusiasm we hope to reach many more young people.
