Volunteer Treasurer for charity working in the Middle East

What will you be doing?

Responsibilities  

Board reporting and advising on financial matters, particularly in relation to audit and international financial consolidation and exchange rate movements Close oversight of the external audit process from February – June each year. Submissions of Annual Returns to Charity Commission Attend trustee board and committee meetings online and less often in person Provide guidance to secretary/bookkeeper on accounting matters as needed Serve as key contact with banks

Board of Trustees Chairman School bursar Book-keeper Audit manager and partner, Critchleys Account manager, Barclays Company Secretary Key contact for CAF Bank

  Person Specification  • Experience and knowledge of managing finances in a multi-currency environment  • Experience and knowledge of current practice relevant to schools or charities  • The skills to analyse investment manager reporting  • A recognised financial and/or accounting qualification would be highly beneficial but is not a prerequisite
