We are currently seeking a Sales Lead to join our growing team. To achieve success in the role you will need to work effectively, have good communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work with complex software while seeing the wider picture.

Aim of the Role

As a Sales Lead you will: 

  • Generate new business leads and develop your own opportunities pipeline by working closely with our Brand team, building relationships with leading UK companies and providing value-adding advice on decarbonisation solutions 
  • Identify trends and customer needs aligned to their decarbonisation journeys, building a short/medium/long-term sales pipeline in accordance with targets 
  • Contribute towards our target of increasing revenue and market share by delivering new business sales 

Duties 

  • Lead conversion – convert leads who will come from Brand-led activities, inbound enquiries and commercial partnerships. You will screen, select and prioritise prospects and leads aligned to the agreed process and manage our existing sales pipeline 
  • Proposal generation – create and issue proposal/contract documents to create, nurture, negotiate and close new business opportunities 
  • Record keeping – maintain good records in our CRM and report commercial metrics, and in other internal systems 
  • Manage sales funnels – oversee delivery of sales aligned to agreed sales funnels and be able to forecast current and future sales for specific services/sectors 
  • Build relationships – develop strategic relationships with leads and customers to maximise customer revenue and the amount of impact we provide 
  • Personal development – identify opportunities for personal and professional development through education, networking, events and presentations both internally and externally 

Skills & Qualifications  

  • Business development – proven ability to identify sales opportunities, nurture prospects and deliver agreed sales results 
  • Sales funnel management – able to qualify prospects and accurately forecast your proportion of current and future sales 
  • Organisational skills – able to plan and manage resources, prioritise your workload and keep good records 
  • Communication skills – able to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, both written and verbally, and able to work in a collaborative team environment, which includes discussions around creative reviews, giving and receiving constructive feedback to and from fellow team members and customers 

Desirable Attributes 

  • Sustainability interest/passion – a personal interest and/or passion for environmental and social sustainability and sharing that with our leads and customers 
  • CRM management – able to create, edit and manage records within a CRM 
  • Presentation skills – able to present effectively to leads, customers and internal teams with a high-level technical lens
