Volunteer Copywriting Volunteer

What will you be doing?

As the copywriting expert, you will be responsible for the creation and proofreading of simplified on-brand finance content for the BonsaïMoney podcast called BonsaïBriefs and blog posts for the BonsaïMoney webpage. Main purpose  The scriptwriter will create, assist and support the creation of relatable educational finance content for the BonsaïMoney sub-brand of The AVOCADO Foundation, which is targeted at young people between the ages of 9 – 35.   Main areas of responsibility   Scriptwriting   

Responsible for writing the scripts for the podcast.   Assist in writing the blog posts for the BonsaïMoney’s webpage - Collaborative creation with the Youth Development officer.   

Monitoring and evaluation 

Contributing to the monitoring and evaluation of the impact of the services provided by The AVOCADO Foundation to its members 

Team-working 

Working with colleagues to achieve organisational objectives.  Operating in compliance with the charity’s corporate policies for employment legislation in the workplace and staff, volunteer and service user wellbeing. 

Other requirements 

Reviewing social media caption with the Youth Development Officer.  Maintaining awareness and ensuring compliance with organisational policies, including safeguarding, confidentiality, health and safety and data protection.  Representing the organisation externally, promoting the work of the organisation  Undertaking any other duties that are required and commensurate with the level of the post. 

What are we looking for?

Essential knowledge and experience 

Experience in creating engaging copy and content under personal finance and entrepreneurship.  Competent in commonly used office software applications.  Excellent written communication skills.  Experience working on own initiative and as a member of a closely-knit team, organising, prioritising work and multi-tasking, be adaptable and solve problems creatively. 

Desirable knowledge and experience 

Experience in working in the charity, corporate or freelance environment   Cross-cultural awareness  

Skills and abilities
