Role Summary

  • The successful applicant will take the helm of the Trust's financial and procurement processes, data, and the tools/systems used.
  • You will be tasked with using best-practice methods to ensure that the financial and procurement operations are up to standard.
  • There will also be a responsibility to utilise recently implemented systems to their fullest capabilities, including work with AI.

Role Requirements

  • Applicants should have a significant amount of experience at leadership level in finance.
  • A proven track record of accomplishing transformations in finance is essential.
  • Strong expertise in the ERP systems, especially Oracle Fusion, and the ability to use automation, AI, and analytics to increase efficiency is a must.

The role: As a Finance Global Process Owner Lead at Wellcome, you will be responsible for leading the continuous improvement of our finance and procurement processes, data, and systems/tools. This strategic leadership role involves embedding best-practice financial and procurement operations across the Trust and ensuring that Wellcome fully realises the benefits of its recently implemented Oracle Fusion ERP and emerging AI-driven capabilities, alongside other related systems like Salesforce, Workday, and Docusign.

Job requirements: We are looking for someone with significant experience at the Finance Leadership Team level, capable of shaping finance operating models, process standards, and system roadmaps in complex, enterprise-scale environments. You should have a proven track record of delivering end-to-end finance transformation, including ERP-enabled change and post-implementation optimisation with clear, measurable benefits. Strong expertise in ERP systems, ideally Oracle Fusion, and the ability to leverage automation, AI, and advanced analytics to drive efficiency and process excellence is essential.
