Role Summary:
- Work within the Delivery department to design and deliver Teach First's Secondary program.
- Collaborate with the Design team to ensure high-quality program delivery.
- Manage a portfolio of trainees, providing mentorship and support.
- Contribute to the development of impactful teachers and leaders.
Role Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with school leadership experience.
- Deep knowledge of secondary education and classroom pedagogy.
- Familiarity with Teachers' Standards and Core Content Framework.
- Experience mentoring and coaching within an ITT route for at least two years.
- Ability to travel, with a full UK driving licence and car access for non-London applicants.

Teach First is committed to building a fair education for all, unlocking the potential in all children. Our Delivery department delivers Teach First's programmes across all areas of England. We support, teach and develop programme members, trainee teachers their mentors via the delivery of teacher development and leadership programmes.
As a Development Lead - Secondary, you will bring design and delivery of our Secondary programme together. You'll be part of the delivery team but also work closely the Design team to design the programmes and ensure programme delivery quality and fidelity. You’ll have a designated portfolio of trainees or programme members working closely with other support roles to create high quality experiences which develop the next generation of impactful teachers and leaders.
We are looking for someone with QTS who has worked as a school leader. You should have excellent phase knowledge (Secondary) and understand outstanding classroom pedagogy. Your knowledge of the Teachers' Standards and Core Content Framework should be outstanding. You should have developed, mentored and coached inexperienced teachers within an ITT (Initial Teacher Training) route for at least two years. e.g. PGCE, Schools Direct, Teach First etc.
There are travel requirements for this role. It is expected that non-London applicants hold a full UK driving licence with access to their own car for travel between schools/events.
