  • Manage and scale the production environment for a growing customer base and product line.
  • Develop monitoring systems with the engineering team for new services.
  • Supervise a team member and enhance the reliability and quality of software.
  • Measure and optimize system performance.
  • Handle daily DevOps tasks, including microservice infrastructure setup.
  • Experience with ELK, MySQL, Postgresql, Redshift, PHP, Python, Docker, AWS Lambda, AWS, Redis, Kubernetes is essential.
  • Proficiency in scripting and configuration tools like Terraform.
  • Interest or experience in SRE methodologies.

The role - In this role we're keen to make sure that you can help us maintain a scalable and reliable production environment for running software services while the rest of the business grows our customer base and product offering. You will be responsible for the production environment by creating monitoring and working with engineering team to create monitoring for services they create. You will also manage one other team member, improve reliability, quality of our software, measure and optimise system performance, and help with daily DevOps team tasks like setting up the infrastructure for microservices.

Job requirements - You must have experience with technologies like ELK, MySQL, Postgresql, Redshift, PHP, Python, Docker, AWS Lambda, AWS, Redis, Kubernetes. You should also have experience of scripting languages beyond simple scripts, familiarity with Terraform or similar configuration/infrastructure as code tools, and experience working with SRE problems or interested in moving into that field.
