Role Summary
- Integrates into the Pricing Team, reporting to the Head of Risk Pricing.
- Key responsibilities include loss ratio management, underwriting footprint, broker optimisation, and growth targets.
- Contributes to pricing initiatives such as expansion plans and customer retention efforts.
- Expected to innovate, deliver high frequency changes to the rates, and make significant business contributions.
Role Requirements
- Proactive, technical, commercial, curious, and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to conduct pricing analysis using SQL & Python, build GLMs, GBMs, and other models within Python.
- Prior experience in a data science role or a STEM degree.

The role This role will sit in the Pricing Team, reporting into the Head of Risk Pricing. The team is responsible for managing our loss ratio, underwriting footprint, broker optimisation and growth targets. This means that the Pricing Team is integral to driving the business forwards. We work in a very different way to most pricing teams that you might be familiar with. Everyone in Pricing has the potential to make a massive contribution to the business, so we all take ownership, move fast, innovate and deliver changes to our rates at high frequency. You will develop a deep understanding of Marshmallow’s quote, policy, and claims data to derive insights that enhance pricing strategies. You will also contribute to key pricing initiatives, including expansion plans and customer retention efforts.
Job requirements We are looking for proactive, technical, commercial, curious, opinionated, and excellent communicators.
