What will you be doing?

We're looking for a treasurer with finance experience to join our board of trustees. You do not necessarily need prior experience as a trustee, but some experience in charity finance is important. The treasurer's role is important in helping trustees carry out their financial responsibilities. The treasurer will work with the CEO and trustees to provide guidance and support with:

Lived experience is also important to us. First and foremost, we are humans getting alongside other humans. Professional qualifications are important (and essential for some of the work that we deliver!), but relationships are just as meaningful. Many of our staff members and trustees have lived experience of trauma, neurodivergence, and caring for children with additional needs. We feel passionate that our trustee board should be truly representative of the people it serves.  We embrace diversity and are open to hearing from applicants from all backgrounds but are especially keen to add more voices from people with lived experience of trauma, neurodivergence and disability, Black, Asian and minority ethnic groups, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community.

What are we looking for?

Commitment to the vision, mission and values of the Thrive Manchester Broad understanding of charity finance issues A strong understanding of financial principles, including budgeting, financial planning, cash flow management, and financial reporting. What difference will you make?
