  • Coordinate administrative tasks for the Fundraising Team
  • Assist the Director of Global Fundraising
  • Handle donations data entry and donor communications
  • Manage fundraising materials and vendor relationships

  • Three years of related work experience
  • Proficiency in Google Platforms, Microsoft Office Suite, and CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Experience with donor relations is a plus
  • Commitment to racial justice, equity, and climate justice

Location: Remote in specified US states, with a preference for East Coast time zones.
Position Type: Full-time with a competitive salary of USD 75,000/year.

350.org is looking for a detail- oriented Fundraising Assistant who will be responsible for coordinating and managing day-to-day administrative activities of the Fundraising Team.

About the Fundraising Assistant: 

The Fundraising Assistant is responsible for coordinating and managing day-to-day administrative activities of the Fundraising Team and acts as an assistant to Director of Global Fundraising, who is based in Europe.This individual has sound judgment and is detail-oriented, organized, flexible and thrives in a fast-paced environment. As 350.org is a global organisation, willingness to work outside regular working hours and travel on occasion is needed.  

Essential Duties:  

  • Enter incoming donations data into Salesforce and document, track, and run reports, including processing checks and uploading data from third party donation websites, stock gifts, matching gifts, and bequests (Note: focus of role is on data entry for Fundraising Team); 
  • Prepare and send thank you notes and donation receipts to donors in a timely fashion, including per traditional mail; 
  • Encourage monthly supporters to continue giving by emailing and calling them when their credit card expires; 
  • Manage the Fundraising team’s email inbox and and Google Voice, respond to all donor questions; 
  • Maintain accurate notes for Fundraising team meetings; 
  • Additional admin work for general org as needed, a few times per year; 
  • Helping with scheduling for team hiring processes, onboarding, and team meetings; 
  • Manage End of Year busy donation season (including assisting with hiring, training, and managing temp); 
  • Evaluate potential new 3rd party donation websites/ services 
  • Coordinate purchases of Fundraising team materials (such as letterhead), manages timely processing of invoices for vendors and consultants; 
  • Evaluate and offer suggestions for improving current processes; 
  • Manage and review grant agreements, ensuring they are signed and approved, returned and filed; 
  • Manage and file all grant documents; 
  • Proofread other team members’ work when needed;
  • Perform other tasks assigned by the Director of Global Fundraising.

Minimum Requirements:  

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience  
  • Minimum of three years related work experience  
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills  
  • Proficient in Google Platforms and Microsoft Office Suite 
  • CRM database system(s) experience a plus, preferably Salesforce  
  • Experience working in administrative roles
  • Competencies and skills related to racial justice and equity

Other Skills:  

  • Experience with ActionKit a plus 
  • Excellent time management and able to manage competing priorities  
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and protect confidential information 
  • Experience communicating with donors a plus 
  • Strong commitment to climate justice and other environmental and social issues

Reporting to: Director of Global Fundraising

Compensation: USD 75,000/year (SG 1.3) 

FLSA Status: Exempt 

Note: This position will be part of the 350PWU bargaining unit and subject to the terms and conditions of the collective bargaining agreement.
