The British Museum is seeking a Finance Manager: Accounts and Strategy. This is a full-time, permanent position based in Bloomsbury.
The role: As Finance Manager: Accounts and Strategy you will lead and develop a team delivering a professional and commercial financial, planning and management information service that influences and fully supports the strategic and operational priorities of the Museum. You will be responsible for management and financial accounting, budgeting and forecasting processes for the Museum, as well as reporting to government. You will also contribute to major Museum projects with financial implications.
Job requirements: The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level and a qualified ACA accountant, or equivalent. Experience of working in a multinational, FTSE 250 or ‘Big 4’ environment, and of staff management is essential. You will be a strong communicator with excellent judgement, an analytical approach and a strong drive to improve. You will be able to manage conflicting demands and prioritise workload effectively.
