Volunteer Trustee

What will you be doing?

We have space for 2 to 3 trustees to join us, at an exciting time for us. Passion for growing a charity, governance, fundraising or international development will all be brilliant qualities for us.  We've been run by volunteers for 12 years and we need some fresh 'umph' to move us forward.  We are keen to hear from people who have experience in finance and/or audit, strategy and governance, international development or women’s sexual health. There will be scope for one of our Trustees to take on the Chair role. 

What are we looking for?

We'd like one Trustee to lead us on our finances, with another bringing experience of governance and strategy. Everyone should have experience of working on committees, and bring their life and work experience to the table along with their passion for making a difference.  We encourage any age and any background to challenge our thinking. 

What difference will you make?

We're ready for the next step and to grow our wonderful charity. We need experienced leaders who can help challenge us and move us into the next chapter.  We work with girls, women and communities to boost self confidence, expand knowledge (menstruation, teenage pregnancy, gender bias...) and let kids have fun through the sport we love (netball). With more funding, we can work with more young people and upskill more adults to help with their future.  With better governance, we can approach new funders and corporate sponsors, to let us offer more opportunities to more people.  And you'll be welcome to travel with us and experience the programmes for yourself.
