The role
We are seeking an energetic, enthusiastic and experienced Chief of Staff to join our executive team with a strong background in delivery management, scaling at pace and, preferably, enterprise SaaS. We’re looking for someone who embodies a startup mentality, helping us deliver at pace and scale up our business.
The Chief of Staff will play a critical role in ensuring we deliver on our strategy, as defined by the CEO. This individual will work closely with the CEO and other senior leaders, ensuring OKRs are effectively planned, managed and delivered to achieve our strategic KPIs.
What you will be doing:
- Delivery and Execution:
- Coordinate with the CEO to turn our strategy and market goals into OKRs.
- Run a quarterly OKR planning process.
- Manage OKR delivery across the business.
- Coordinate cross-functional projects, ensuring team alignment.
- Ensure that all leads are clear on their teams’ goals and delivery expectations.
- Measurement and performance
- Define KPIs in line with strategic objectives.
- Ensure KPIs are effectively tracked, making use of appropriate reporting systems
- Report on performance metrics.
- Executive support:
- Manage leadership meeting agendas and offsites
- Coordinate delivery of strategy programmes
- Prepare monthly KPI packs
- Prepare, where appropriate reporting information for the executive team and board
- Drive culture
- Drive a ‘deliver fast’ culture within the business.
- Ensure all team members are embodying startup principles including bias towards action, taking ownership and ensuring their work is creating or closely leading to external impact.
- Champion an appropriate level of organisation and project management.
Key working relationships:
- Reporting into the CEO, enacting strategy and reporting on KPIs and delivery
- Join executive team meetings
- Coordination and delivery planning with our leads (Commercial, Marketing, Sales, Customer, Product and Engineering)
- We have a separate project and delivery manager for the Engineering team who you would liaise with where appropriate
- You would work closely with our customer operations associate to deliver projects in the customer space
Requirements
What we need from you:
- Tons of energy, drive and enthusiasm to drive the company forward with effective delivery
- Embodiment of a a rapid delivery and ‘startup’ culture
- Prior experience working in a SaaS startup/scaleup
- Experience of project managing delivery to achieve strategic goals
- Excellent communication and cross-team coordination skills
Not required, but a bonus:
- Exposure to legal practice, law firms or legal tech.
- SaaS experience that is specifically of a B2B enterprise nature
- Familiarity with finance functions
- Experience in managing a small team
