Volunteer HR & Volunteer Manager

What will you be doing?

As the Volunteer & HR Manager, you will oversee volunteer recruitment, engagement, and development while ensuring we follow best practices in HR policies and procedures. You will work closely with the CEO and board to build a supportive, inclusive, and productive volunteer culture that aligns with our mission.

What are we looking for?

Key Responsibilities:

Lead volunteer recruitment, onboarding, and training processes. Develop and implement HR policies in line with legal and ethical standards. Create a volunteer engagement and recognition strategy. Maintain a central volunteer and HR database (with confidentiality protocols). Support conflict resolution, wellbeing, and team development. Contribute to organisational planning from a people-management perspective.

Skills & Experience Required:

Experience in volunteer management, HR, or people operations (charity sector preferred). Strong organisational and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of safeguarding, data protection, and employment best practices. A passion for inclusion, wellbeing, and community empowerment. Ability to support and lead a diverse, remote team.
