Policy Formulation: Assist in the development and implementation of educational policies that promote equity and access, ensuring they align with current educational standards and practices in the UK. Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with teachers, parents, and community leaders to promote an understanding of DEI issues and garner support for inclusive education initiatives.

You will work with a team of educators in the UK and in Africa, both on a leadership and strategic level.

Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative working style. Passion: A genuine commitment to education equity and the mission of AfriKindness.

A network of passionate professionals and volunteers dedicated to educational reform and social justice.

What difference will you make?

As an Educational Consultant Volunteer with AfriKindness, your contributions will have a profound and far-reaching impact in several key areas:

Promoting Inclusivity: By integrating DEI principles into curriculum design, teacher training, and policy development, you will help create an educational environment where all students, especially those who are neurodiverse and from minority backgrounds, feel valued and supported.  Enhancing Educational Quality: Your expertise in the UK education system will be instrumental in shaping programs that not only meet educational standards but are also tailored to address the unique needs of diverse learners. Building Capacity: Through the development and delivery of targeted training sessions for educators and staff, you will build the organization’s internal capacity to recognize and support neurodiversity.  Driving Policy and Change: By assisting in the formulation of progressive educational policies, you will have a direct hand in driving systemic change within the organization and potentially influencing broader policy initiatives.  Community Engagement and Support: Engaging with various stakeholders including parents, teachers, and community leaders will strengthen community ties and enhance support for DEI initiatives. Your role will be crucial in promoting understanding and collaboration across different groups, fostering a community-wide approach to inclusive education.
