- Sound knowledge of child and young people development.
- Understanding of the impact of serious illness on families.

We are currently seeking a Social Care Team Manager for our Scotland East Coast team, based at the Royal Hospital for Children & Young People and from home. This hybrid role offers the flexibility to work part-time, 28 hours per week, ensuring our team members can balance personal commitments while making a significant impact.
The role: As a Social Care Team Manager, you will lead a team of specialist social workers who assist children and young people with cancer and their families. Our goal is to navigate the emotional and practical impacts of cancer, removing barriers and solving problems to prioritize wellbeing. You will work closely with an established NHS multi-disciplinary team and community services, making a real difference in the lives of those affected by cancer.
Job requirements: Candidates must hold a recognized Social Worker qualification and be currently registered with Social Work England/ Scottish Social Services Council/Social Care Wales/Northern Ireland Social Care Council. Experience in a social care setting with children, young people, and their families/carers is essential, as is experience working in a multi-disciplinary environment, ideally within an NHS setting.
