We’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated sales executive to join our concierge team at Byway. As a Concierge team member, you’ll play a vital role in generating new business, nurturing client relationships, and contributing to our sales targets. Your expertise in slow travel will help create memorable journeys that inspire our customers, as well as enable you to specialise in a specific region and contribute to our product development.
We’re the world’s first tech platform for flight-free holidays. We help people love their journeys, and are proud to be a certified B Corporation. Founded in March 2020, we've booked over 5,000 people onto flight-free trips with 97% five star reviews, and regularly appear in mainstream press from the Times to the Guardian. We’re growing 4x year on year, and have no plans to slow down until flight-free travel is mainstream.
Your key responsibilities include building fantastic, bespoke journeys for our customers, using your passion for and expert knowledge of slow travel. You will qualify leads, understand their travel preferences, and provide tailored recommendations to match their needs. You will also seek out and generate leads through various channels, including outbound calls and emails. You will drive the sales process from initial contact to closing deals, ensuring a smooth and positive customer experience.
We are looking for someone with significant experience in a sales role, preferably in the travel or hospitality industry, with a results-driven mindset and a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. You should have outstanding customer service and communication skills, with the ability to engage and build relationships with potential and existing customers. You should also have a very strong attention to detail, and an extraordinarily high level of ownership and accountability.
We offer a salary of £27,000 - £30,000 p.a. plus commission (£29,500-£35,000 OTE) depending on experience. You will also receive company ownership through equity, one cost-price Byway holiday per year, an annual autumn Away Day and a team weekend away in the spring, and 20 days wherever: work when you like and where you like for most of the month - we’ll fund a day a week in a coworking space.
