They work hand-in-hand with the government to strengthen national food security initiatives and help agri-SMEs by creating a market for high-impact crops such as coffee, avocado, and chilli.

Role Summary

  • Complete management of internal and external financial reporting for the Rwanda Program.
  • Managing regular financial close processes.
  • Ensuring compliance with tax and regulatory requirements.
  • Overseeing financial reporting for key grants.
  • Leading budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Providing financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.

Role Requirements

  • Experience in financial reporting, audit, or financial analysis in a fast-paced environment.
  • Profound knowledge of accounting, taxation, and financial reporting principles.
  • Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and experience with financial modelling and data analysis tools.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field and professional certification preferred (e.g. ACCA, CPA).
  • This role is open only to Rwandan citizens or permanent residents.

The role: As a Financial Reporting Associate, you will be responsible for the complete management of both internal and external financial reporting and compliance for the Rwanda Program. This includes managing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring compliance with tax and regulatory requirements, and overseeing financial reporting for key grants. You will also lead budgeting, forecasting, and provide financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.

Job requirements: The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in financial reporting, audit, or financial analysis, preferably in a managerial capacity within a fast-paced environment. Strong knowledge of accounting, taxation, and financial reporting principles is essential. Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and experience with financial modelling and data analysis tools such as Power BI are required. A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field and professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) are strongly preferred.
