What will you be doing?

We are seeking an experienced User Researcher to volunteer as part of our wider service design team. Your role will be essential in ensuring our services are accessible, usable, and effective for everyone who needs them. About Us: Criminal Justice Hub provides comprehensive resources and support to individuals and communities navigating the complexities of the criminal justice system. We aim to promote fairness, justice, and accessibility through our online platform.

What are we looking for?

Your Role:

Plan and carry out user research activities independently within a multidisciplinary team. Apply basic techniques for the analysis of research data and synthesis of findings. Present clear and actionable findings to inform decision-making and improve services. Understand and include the diversity of users in research activities to ensure accessibility. Demonstrate experience in basic user research methods and involve your team effectively. Align user research activities to help the team understand changing user behaviour and societal context. Collaborate with colleagues to plan and conduct continuous user research in an Agile environment.

Skills and Experience:

Analysis and Synthesis: Ability to apply techniques for data analysis and involve the team in synthesis. Inclusive Research: Understanding of diverse user needs and inclusion in research activities. Research: Experience in basic user research methods and effective team involvement. Society and Technology: Understanding of the social and technological context of government services. Strategic Insight: Ability to align research activities with problem-solving and decision-making. Technical Understanding: Knowledge of technologies used in digital services and understanding of technical roles. User-centred and Agile Practices: Experience in user-centred practices and working in multidisciplinary teams.
