What will you be doing?
We are looking for people willing to bring energy, enthusiasm and commitment to the role, and who will broaden the diversity of thinking on our board. Having recently appointed a new CEO, our charity is ready to pursue a range of new opportunities. To help us in this endeavour, we are looking for experienced board members to support us. In particular, we are keen to recruit individuals with experience in: digital marketing and social media, fundraising, financial planning and accountancy. We would expressly welcome applications for the position of treasurer.

We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to support our experienced board of trustees. In particular, we are keen to recruit individuals with experience in: digital marketing and social media, fundraising, financial planning and accountancy. We would expressly welcome applications for the position of treasurer. Whilst experience as a trustee is valued, you do not need previous governance experience – we will provide a full induction and training. You should have:
A willingness and ability to understand and accept their responsibilities and liabilities as trustees and to act in the best interests of the organisation An ability to think creatively and strategically, exercise good, independent judgement and work effectively as a board member Effective communication skills and willingness to participate actively in discussion A strong personal commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion Enthusiasm for our vision and mission; Protect and preserve the good health, both mental and physical, of persons who have been victims of sexual abuse and in particular by the provision of therapeutic intervention and individual and group counselling, and to advance the education of persons working with those who have been victims of child sexual abuse
What difference will you make?
Our trustees play a vital role in making sure that Stepping Stones North Wales (SSNW) achieves its core purpose, which is to support adult survivors of child sexual abuse, as well as their families, and to advance the education of those who work with those who have been victims of child sexual abuse. You will have a real opportunity to shape the strategic direction of the charity, support in the funding and delivery of services, and to raise our profile in the local area.
